Grilled pork chops with this sweet rub pairs wonderfully with a simple apple and onion compote.

Ingredients:
Pork Chops-
6 boneless pork chops
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon cardamom
½ freshly ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
Caramelized Onion Apple Compote-
1 sweet onion sliced
1 apple peeled and diced
1 tablespoon brown sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Directions:
- Mix sugar and spices in a small bowl. Rub over both sides of pork chops. Let pork chops rest until ready to cook.
- Pre-heat Ninja grill or grill.
- Grill 5-7 minutes per side. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
- Compote-
- Spray a nonstick pan with olive oil spray. Add onions and cook stirring frequently for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low. Add brown sugar and salt. Cook 10 more minutes,
- Add the apples and apple cider vinegar. Cook 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat.
- Serve compote over pork chops.
