Grilled Pork Chops with Pear Chutney

These pork chops topped with a pear chutney were absolutely delicious! This was so good I definitely will be making this again.

Recipe adapted from Food Network

Ingredients:

4 bone in pork chops

1-2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon orange zest

Chutney-

½ shallot finely diced

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

1 teaspoon grated ginger

1 teaspoon curry powder

1 cinnamon stick

½  cup fresh or frozen cranberries

¼ cup golden raisins

3 pears peeled, cored, and diced

1 tablespoon brown sugar optional

Directions:

  1. Drizzle the olive oil over the pork chops and rub into both sides.  Sprinkle with orange zest and let sit at room temperature while the grill preheats.
  2. Preheat grill to high heat.
  3. Add pears, shallots, vinegar, ginger, curry powder, pears, cranberry, and cinnamon stick to a large microwavable safe bowl.  Cover with plastic wrap and heat for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove plastic wrap and stir.  Mix in raisins and 1 tablespoon brown sugar if you want it sweeter.  Remove the cinnamon stick when ready to serve.  Serve warm or cooled.
  5. Grill the chops for 3-5 minutes per side.  Let chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  6. Top grilled pork chops with pear chutney.
  7. Enjoy!
