Ham with Pineapple Glaze
Spiral hams are the perfect holiday meal. This pineapple glazed ham is bursting with flavor from cloves, pineapple, maraschino cherries, and the final touch a pineapple glaze. You will be making this ham often once you try it.

Ingredients:
1 can pineapple rings, reserve 1 cup pineapple juice
8-12 maraschino cherries
1 spiral ham
1 tablespoon ground cloves
1 cup honey
1 cup light brown sugar
Directions:
- Let the ham sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Use a sharp knife to score through the fat in a diagonal crosshatch pattern without cutting through to the meat.
- Sprinkle ground cloves over the ham.
- Put the ham flat side down on a rack in a roasting pan.
- Arrange the sliced pineapple all over the ham securing with a toothpick and maraschino cherry in the center.
- Pour ¼ cup water in the bottom of the pan. Tent the ham with foil.
- Roast until ham reaches an internal temperature of 130 degrees about 2 hours (15 minutes per pound)
- Meanwhile combine the honey, brown sugar, and reserved pineapple juice in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 25-30 minutes.
- Increase oven temperature to 425 degrees.
- Uncover the pan. Remove the pineapple and cherries.
- Brush a third of the glaze over the ham. If water in the base evaporated add another ¼ cup water. Bake 15 minutes more.
- Add another coat of glaze. Bake 15 minutes.
- Brush remaining glaze over ham. Let ham rest for 15 minutes.
- Slice and serve with pineapple slices and cherries.
