Greek Turkey Burgers
If you are craving a burger, but want something different then these are the perfect burgers for you. The pita pocket, cucumber, tomato, feta, and tzatziki make these burgers a meal you won’t forget. I served this with Green Giant Zucchini Pizza Crunchers and marinara sauce.
Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground turkey
1 large egg
1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon salt
½ red onion thinly sliced
4-6 pitas with pockets
Store bought tzatziki
1 English cucumber sliced
1 large tomato sliced
4 ounces crumbled feta
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. Spread out the pitas on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes to warm prior to serving.
- Mix the turkey, egg, oregano, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Divide to form 4-6 patties.
- Grill the patties on medium heat for 5 minutes per side.
- Remove the pitas from the oven and stuff with tzatziki, tomato, red onion, cucumber, feta, and 1 patty each.
