Spicy Pumpkin Hummus

I have hummus with vegetables as a snack almost every day.  This pumpkin hummus has a little spice (feel free to add more) and is a fantastic fall snack.

Recipe adapted from Food Network

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups canned pumpkin puree

1 ½ cups chickpeas drained and rinsed

3 tablespoons tahini

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 clove garlic

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a food processor.  Pulse until mixed. Scrape down the sides to ensure everything mixes. 
  2. Transfer to a serving dish.  Store in an airtight container.
  3. Serve with vegetables, pita chips, pretzels, etc…
