Caramel Apple Dump Cake
If you are craving caramel apples and want an easy dessert to impress a crowd then you will love this cake.
Ingredients:
4-5 apples peeled and sliced
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon cardamom
1 bag Kraft caramels
1 spice cake box mix
1 stick unsalted butter
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Add apples to a large bowl. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom. Shake to coat all apples. Microwave apples for 3-5 minutes.
- Spray a 9×13 baking pan with nonstick or baking spray.
- Arrange apples in an even layer.
- Spread the caramels out on top of the apples.
- Sprinkle cake mix on top of the apples.
- Slice butter into thin slices and arrange slices over the cake mix.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes.
- Let cool on a wire rack.
- Enjoy! Eat as is or top with ice cream.
- Suggestion- Microwave for 20 seconds if eating after the cake has cooled.
