Italian Sausage Stuffed Peppers
Stuffed peppers are easy to make and customize depending on what you are craving. These stuffed peppers were filled with ground Italian sausage and the pepper tops as well as some marinara sauce topped with shredded Italian cheeses.
Ingredients:
6 bell peppers tops and stems removed
1 pound ground Italian sausage
1 cup marinara sauce
1 cup shredded Italian cheese
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning blend
Olive oil spray
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

- Cover peppers with aluminum foil and bake for 20-25 minutes to soften.
- Meanwhile cook the sausage over medium heat stirring often to break up. Drain fat once the sausage is lightly browned.

- Divide the sausage filling among the 6 peppers and top with shredded cheese.
- If baking immediately cover lightly with aluminum foil and bake for another 20-25 minutes. If prepping in advance and refrigerating bake for 45 minutes.
