Banana Mocha Energy Balls

Energy balls with a little espresso are sure to give you a boost.  The protein from the almonds and hazelnuts helps to keep you going on busy days.

Ingredients:

1 cup old fashioned oats

1 scoop chocolate protein powder

1 scoop (3 tablespoons) powdered peanut butter

1 cup cocoa almonds

¼ cup hazelnuts

1 tablespoon flax seeds

1 tablespoon espresso powder

8 dates soaked in hot coffee drained

1 banana

¼ cup cocoa nibs

Directions:

  1. Add oats, protein powder, powdered peanut butter, flax seeds, espresso powder to food processor.  Pulse to mix.
  2. Add banana and dates.  Pulse to mix.
  3. Add almonds and hazelnuts.  Pulse to mix.
  4. Add cocoa nibs.  Pulse to mix.
  5. Use a cookie scooper or spoon to form balls. 
  6. Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator until they disappear.
